Hi, I’m Ms Holly (She/Her). I am the operator of TEMPO. Welcome! I received my Bachelor of Music in Voice from MUN in 2015. Since then I have participated in Dr. Shannon Coates’ singers cohort, and completed a course on The Child Voice and a course on Neurodiversity in the Voice Studio. My goal is to create a warm and encouraging space, where students feel like they can express themselves through music.
Hi, I’m Ms. Lori! I’ve been teaching music for over 30 years after completing the conjoint degree program (B.Mus./B.Mus.Ed.) at Memorial University’s School of Music in 1987. I began in the school system at Newtown Elementary before embracing the opportunity to be a touring musician with Thomas Trio & the Red Albino in 1990 which led to a world stage in Tokyo, Japan. I returned to NL in 1991 where I became school manager & educator at the highly acclaimed Take Note Music School. My expertise has made me a sought after clinician/adjudicator across the province and Atlantic Canada. l have an active career as a performing musician as lead vocalist of my own blues group The Lori Cooper Band, keyboardist for Peter MacDonald Productions and a “Cohenette” in the annual Feast of Cohen. As a music educator I take great pride in fostering and growing with my students to instill an ongoing love of playing.
Hello, I’m Ms. Claire (She/Her)! I’m a current student at Memorial University studying Voice and pursuing Music Education. When I’m not studying or teaching, I work with Shallaway Youth Choir and sing with Lady Cove Women’s Choir. I love plants, chai tea, to hike with my puppies and camp with my family. My main goal is to create a safe space for growing musicians to explore and to nurture the love of music-making and learning.

Hello, I’m Miss Ireland! I am currently a student at Memorial University and I am planning on pursuing a degree in primary/elementary education. I have been playing piano from a very young age, participating each year in the Kiwanis Music Festival as well as completing a number of Royal Conservatory of Music exams. Other than my love for music and playing piano, I enjoy swimming, going for walks and some fun crafting! I am so thrilled to be teaching at Tempo Music Studio and I’m excited to set my students on the right path to succeed in piano while creating a comfortable and encouraging environment.
